3 Tips to Save Money on Christmas Shopping

The holidays are a wonderful time of year full of joy and family time and...consumerism. We all know that those family members expect a present under the tree from you come the 25th, that being said it is Friday and here at SprinkleBit, we have our own tradition: Financial Tip Friday! This week's edition brings you (as the title suggests) 3 tips on how to save money Christmas Shopping  

Tip #1:

Believe it or not, there are some sites such as GiftCardRescue or GiftCard that offer discounted gift cards ranging from 5-20% off of certain retail stores such as the Apple store, H&M or Outback Steakhouse. If only I had known this before doing my shopping! Additionally, there are coupon sites such as Retail Me Not, Secret Prices or FreeShipping that will give you additional savings on your favorite retailers. Always check these sites before making online purchases in order to maximize your savings

Tip #2: 

Avoid falling for the "10% off if you apply for our credit card" promotions. Unfortunately, these credit cards usually have pretty high interests rates which means that you will most likely be losing money in the long run. Also, applying for more credit cards negatively affects your credit

 Tip #3:

Lastly. for all those Christmas shoppers, there are great discount finders online such as this one that help you find available discounts on Amazon. As someone who has been using Amazon's discount finder to finish most of my Christmas shopping, I can tell you that there is a huge potential for savings on almost any gift that could possibly on your list to buy.     There you have it, hopefully all of you found this tool useful!
