Today began the annual 2-day Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014, or more frequently known as E3. E3 is the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games and related products presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA). In other words, it’s the time of year video game fans around the world have been waiting for! This year’s Nintendo digital event began at 9AM PST and was a huge success with fans in comparison to PlayStation’s E3 2014 Press Conference.

With this year being a staple for new games, Nintendo fans were anxious to witness first-time trailers and sneak peaks, experience behind-the-scene gameplay, and learn anticipated release dates. Some of the most anticipated titles of the year include: the remakes of the beloved franchise, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Party 10, Pokémon Art Academy, The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Maker, the Bayonetta series, Splatoon, and more!
Nintendo confirmed the official release date of the highly anticipated game of the popular series, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, for Japan and North America on November 21st, 2014, and November 28th for Europe. Nintendo also released a new game trailer that features never-before-seen gameplay, the redesigned map of Hoenn, and confirmed Mega Evolutions of the remaining starter Pokémon’s final evolutions, Mega Sceptile and Swampert, and the Primal forms of the legendary duo Groudon and Kyogre.

Nintendo also confirmed the release date of another Pokémon game, Pokémon Art Academy, where players take on the role of a young aspiring artist who enrolls in the Pokémon Art Academy to learn how to draw Pokémon under the tutelage of Professor Andy. This game is expected to be released in October 2014 for North American players, June 19th for Japan, and July 4th for Europe.

Super Smash Bros.
One of the most highly anticipated games of the year is none other than the 4th installment of the Super Smash Bros. series, launching for both the Wii U and 3DS. Not only did Nintendo announce the 3DS release date for November 3rd, 2014, but they also introduced a newcomer, Lady Palutena of Kid Icarus: Uprising. Watch as the new character battles it out with our longtime favorite hero, Link. Also be sure to stay tuned for the live Super Smash Bros. Invitational Tournament today at 4PM PST.

The Legend of Zelda

Next on the list of anticipated games are two from The Legend of Zelda series, Hyrule Warriors and The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U.
Cut down entire legions of enemies as Link, Zelda, Midna and other characters from The Legend of Zelda franchise using over-the-top powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves. This tour de force through the beloved locales of Hyrule will have players battling some of the fiercest enemies in The Legend of Zelda history.
With Hyrule Warriors scheduled to be released on September 26th, 2014, and The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U still unannounced, all new gameplay and stories are coming to the land of Hyrule. Prepare yourself.
And of course Nintendo’s most iconic character and game series releases a number of games under it’s franchise such as Mario Party 10, Mario Maker, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Mario vs. Donkey Kong for Wii U, and more.
With Mario Maker, “Build and Rebuild the Mushroom Kingdom. For the first time ever, anyone can create 2D Mario levels using Wii U GamePad controller.”

Mario Party 10 unleashes a new theme and tons of fun and exciting features!
B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bowser)
Bowser crashes the latest Mario Party, the first installment of the series on the Wii U console. In the new Bowser Party mini-games, play as Bowser himself and face off against up to four others playing as Mario and friends. Control Bowser using the buttons, motion controls and touch screen of the Wii U GamePad controller in different ways, and wreak havoc as Bowser in each mini-game while the other players strive to survive.
